When I started playing games in my childhood, my favourite category was racing. CarX Street gives me the next level experience to explore the realistic view of car racing games. After exploring the map and cities of the game, it is perfect time to share my honest review for CarX Street. So, you can find out what is good and what is bad.
Currently, during this review time, CarX Street released for Android and iOS. It means released for phones and it will be soon released for Microsoft Windows. I downloaded the game on my Android phone through Play Store and here below the staring point of this review.
Ultra Realistic Graphics
The graphics quality is awesome in maximum level. Normally graphics was set to medium. But, I need to increase it to the maximum level through settings to get realistic experience. There are Day-night mode also available, which allow me to explore the CarX Street cities in the day time or even night time. You no need to manually change the Day/Night mode. Because it will automatically changed in every 10 minutes. Which thing makes this racing game more realistic.
When it comes to graphics, then you can experience the realistic graphics in the day time, just because of best in game logic of the Sun. Game logic means shadows of buildings, cars and reflection of Sun on the road. Even I can notice the trees, buildings and other cars reflection in my car’s body. However, night time also enough to experience the graphics, but I found better results in day time instead of night time to explore the CarX Street map with ultra realistic graphics.
Another option in the side of graphics is Controls, this option is for customize the driving mechanics. There are 3 options available to control the car. Stearing Wheel, buttons and Accelerometer. To get a realistic driving experience, I chose the Accelerometer option. Which allows me to control the car simply by rotating my phone.
Optimization
A more optimized game, means more playing experience. I am really disappointed with the current optimization. Here the mobile android version released in February 2023. Now almost 3 months completed. But still this game is struggling with many devices like Samsung. But according to recent update, thankfully the game optimised for Samsung devices also.
I played CarX Street on a phone with 6GB of RAM and a MediaTek Helio G90T processor for 15 to 20 minutes on high graphics settings. And guess what? My game crashed when I was doing some resource-intensive tasks, such as playing in online multiplayer mode. To play this game with a lag-free experience, you need a phone with at least 6GB of RAM and a minimum Snapdragon 855 processor or MediaTek Dimensity 1000.
My phone normally supports 90 FPS, but when I enter in the game, it runs below 30 FPS. I tried to decrease the graphics and set all settings to low. But no any improvements in frame drops and lag. Only graphics decreased to low quality which is not good for open world realistic car racing experience. Below, you can play the video to get an idea of how I struggled in terms of optimization while playing CarX Street on high-end graphics.
From the release of this game, I can see many optimization and hope in future so. But make sure to note the system recommendation that I mentioned above if you are planning to download this game on a android phone.
Game Modes
CarX Street offers two types of modes. Offline and Online. Both modes support multiplayer. It means, if you play multiplayer in offline mode, then it will very easy to win the game as per my experience. Because offline cars are driven by bots or automated systems. So, their cars will never run faster then your’s if played carefully.
When first time I started a match in CarX Street, I found no other players on the map after me. This is because Default game mode selected to offline mode. I need to manually select servers to play with real players on online multiplayer mode. There are 3 servers available – America, Asia, Europe. The game system automatically detect the best and nearest server according to your location.
As I belong from Asia, so there are no any network connection issue with CarX Street online multiplayer mode. Overall game modes and game server configuration are well optimized.
Cars Performance
When I joined CarX Street for the first time, here I have 3 options to start with. It means, there will 3 cars available to choose. You can choose 1 out of them to start playing. If I talk about performance, then I can’t explain it in a single paragraph, so let’s explain briefly what car performance is.
All cars in CarX Street, divided into 4 sections. Sections are 1 class, 2 class, 3 class and Premium. 1 class cars can be purchased in low price. Even you no need to spend real money to get 1 class to 3 class cars. But Yes, you need to complete missions, play games across the map in offline or online mode of get in game currency known as silver cash.
1 class to 3 class cars are enough to win normal matches. But when I faced some experienced players who own premium cars, they defeated me within minutes, just because of their high-speed cars and engines.
There are many high-performance cars available in the store section. But you need to spend real money to own these cars. In that situation, I found 3 class cars also giving performance near to some premium cars. That’s why I chose the STR, which is worth $185,000 silver cash. But I no need to pay for getting this car. Just I need to play games across the map and then, I can collect this ammount within a month. It depends on how many times I am playing CarX Street to collect silver cash to own my next super car.
I like the option where high-performance cars are also available in the 3 class section. So, I can get it by collecting silver cash through completing missions.
Tuning Shop to Upgrade Cars
As you already mentioned that 1 class default cars are not enough to win match with premium car users. That’s why I need to modify or upgrade my car to boost its performance and speed. Here I found Tuning Shop on the different locations of the map. Where I can upgrade my car. Like its engine, gearbox transmission, body, suspension, wheels etc. By default there are no gearbox in some car. I need to equip the gearbox through the Tuning Shop.
So, I think the gearbox is the most important part for a car in CarX Street to accelerate. Without a gearbox, I feel like I’m driving a slow car.
Top Level Background Music
One of my favourite feature is different background music. When I start next match, another background music automatically played. Which motivate me, give me more confidence to win every round. Even I found some of the most popular background music here that I normally find on social media platforms.
However, there is an option to turn off BGM. So, if anyone doesn’t like music in a serious racing match, then he can customize the sound level.

As a newly released game, CarX Street is doing well and is expected to continue to do so in the future. I can say that “CarX Street provides an open-world, realistic car racing experience on the road.” However, issues such as optimization may negatively impact its mobile user base if they are not addressed in the near future.
