OBB installation for a newbie player is likely hard. However you can easily install APK file for any games. So today I will share most easiest method to setup OBB file for popular battle royale games like Garena Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, Valorant Mobile and BGMI.
What is OBB in Free Fire or BGMI?
OBB means Opaque binary blob is a expansion pack for games that includes Outfits, skins, Maps etc. You can’t play a game without OBB file. However game installation can be completed through APK file. But to play the game you required OBB file.
Now a days maximum modern games like Free Fire, BGMI, comes with in game OBB download feature. It means when you open the game for the first time without OBB then your OBB download process will automatically start if your device connected to wifi network.
Otherwise if you connected with a mobile sim data connection then you need to Resume Download for OBB installation. In this way the OBB installation process is simple.
But the main problem occurred when you face server error during download the OBB. So here are external method to setup OBB through ZIP file.
Requirment for OBB setup
- X-Plore File manager for installation.
- A valid APK file for the game.
- A valid OBB file for the game in ZIP format.
Suppose i want to install Garena Free Fire. So i need a APK file and Zip file that include the OBB. If you don’t have official OBB file then you can download Free Fire and Free Fire MAX APK with OBB from our website.
Here I just take Free Fire MAX OBB to show an example. You can do same process with any games like Free Fire, BGMI, Valorant Mobile etc.
OBB Setup Guide
First you need to download and install X-Plore File manager. By using this app use you manage all your file manager requirements. So first download the app from Play Store.
After successfully installed the app, you just need to follow all the steps as shown in this video below. I included this video because OBB installation guide is not fully possible to understand without a video guide.
As mentioned in video just copy to clipboard the .OBB file from Download folder and paste it on Android > OBB > com.dts.freefire.
Other games example for OBB folder name:
- Free Fire – com.dts.freefireth
- Free Fire MAX – com.dts.freefiremax
- PUBG Mobile – com.tencent.ig
If you not able to find com.dts.freefireth folder within Android > OBB folder then first Install the game through APK file and Open the game. Once you open the game, your OBB folder will automatically created under Android > OBB.
Once the setup completed for your game, now you can delete the APK and OBB ZIP file to increase storage space in your phone. This will help you to get better gaming experience in Free Fire, BGMI and even PUBG Mobile.
