A new update for your favourite game Genshin Impact, is all set to receive its 3.6 update on April 12th. This update comes with a plethora of new content, including a new event, an additional area to explore, a weekly boss fight, and two new playable characters: Baizhu and Kaveh.
Genshin Impact devs has officially announced and revealed many information regarding next patch on 31 March. So, here I found some highlighted and interesting about this update.
A Parade of Providence: The New Event
One of the biggest highlights of the 3.6 update is the new event inspired by the Sumeru region, which promises to give players an insight into the lore of the land. In this event, Paimon and the Traveler will meet an ancient race and learn about the origin of dragons. The trailer for “A Parade of Providence” teases a bit of the story, where Paimon talks about the history of dragons and mentions a mysterious “Dragon King.”
The new area introduced in the update appears to be tied to the history of the land itself. Legends say that it was “one of the main battlefields during the Khaenri’ah cataclysm five hundred years ago.” The environment is a mix of badlands and oases, and players will meet a new friend named Pari, which allows them to fly around.
Are you ready for an extravaganza like no other?
Apart from the new event and area, the 3.6 update also brings the Akademiya Extravaganza, an in-game event that allows players to experience new stories and mini-games that teach them more about the Sumeru Akademiya and its areas of research. Additionally, Nahida and Baihzu will be getting story quests, and Layla will be getting a hangout quest. It providing a unique opportunity to delve into the wisdom pursued by the Six Darshans.

The festivities are split into two main events: the Wisdom Gala and the Interdarshan Championship. At the Gala, you can explore booths set up by each of the Six Darshans, each showcasing a mini-game designed to highlight their unique research interests and achievements.
For instance, Layla’s Rtawahist Darshan offers a mini-game involving an astrolabe, where players control it to form special constellations and light up the stars. Meanwhile, the Kshahrewar Darshan booth will test visitors’ knowledge of technology and architecture with a tricky game that challenges them to build a road using the least possible materials.
Story Quests and New Characters
Aside from the mini-games, the Interdarshan Championship will see representatives of the Six Darshans competing for the top spot in a new storyline. And don’t forget about Layla’s Hangout Quest, which will also be revealed during Version 3.6.
But that’s not all. Beyond the bustling Sumeru City lies a mysterious new area, filled with wastelands and an oasis. This place has been damaged by Gray Crystals and corruptive Purple Mists, and according to legend, was once a major battlefield during the Khaenri’ah cataclysm five hundred years ago.
Thankfully, Travelers are not alone on their journey – they’ll be accompanied by “Pari,” unique creatures that can fly and help them reach otherwise unreachable areas. With mysteries waiting to be discovered, there’s no telling what secrets lie in wait for those brave enough to venture out into the desert.
The update also introduces a new weekly boss fight against a grass-like serpent monster called “Dragon of Verdure.” Players will have to team up and coordinate their attacks to defeat this formidable enemy.
Banners and Boosted Drop Rates
Genshin Impact 3.6 update also brings two new playable characters to the game: Baizhu and Kaveh. Baizhu is a new 5-star Dendro catalyst user, while Kaveh is a new 4-star Dendro claymore user. They will be available on the second set of banners that will run with boosted drop rates for certain 5-star characters.

Phase 1 of the banner schedule begins with returning Dendro 5-star Nahida featured in her “The Moongrass’ Enlightenment” banner, and returning Hydro 5-star Nilou featured in her “Twirling Lotus” banner. In Phase 2 of the banner schedule, you can find new Dendro 5-star Baizhu’s “Immaculate Pulse” banner and returning Cryo 5-star Ganyu’s “Adrift in the Harbor” banner. Additionally, new Dendro 4-star Kaveh will be one of the boosted 4-stars in both Baizhu and Ganyu’s banners.
Overall April 3.6 update brings new characters, story quests, a weekly boss fight, and an exciting new event and area to explore. The update is set to be released on April 12th, and players can’t wait to dive into all the new content that Genshin Impact has to offer.
