The release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II has been set on October 28. This game is a follow-up to the Modern Warfare reboot from 2019. Infinity Ward is working on it, and they were also behind the original Modern Warfare trilogy (2009–2011).
This announcement was followed by a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II artwork reveal trailer, which shows off some of the game’s most recognisable characters. In the run-up to the release of Modern Warfare II, Activision and Infinity Ward have hinted at further character surprises.
Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, Sergeant “Soap” MacTavish, lone-wolf Simon “Ghost” Riley, and Colonel Alejandro Vargas of the Mexican Special Forces are among the Task Force 141 personnel verified by Activision. Infinity Ward is working on a successor to MW 2019 (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare), as well as a new Warzone battle royale experience with a new sandbox mode, according to a tweet from Call of Duty in February. A new gaming engine will power both of these future titles.
