As you know that game is not banned only for one reason. There are many reasons found by government authorities of India. So of popular reasons behind the BGMI ban are – Data sharing consern, Similar interface, events like PUBG Mobile, app package name include PUBG word.
Data sharing consern is a most important region behind the ban for any apps in India. So it’s looks like Krafton is working on Indian based data centers, then all users will feel safe about data sharing with other countries.
Another reason is BGMI and PUBG Mobile in game interface like, settings, maps are exactly same. Even royale pass and patch update system also taken from PUBG Mobile. It means the difference between both games is only name.
Also if you are a techy user (who has knowledge of basic technical info), then you might be also know about it’s package name. A unique package name is very important to identify a app in Play Store and App Store. Also you can’t install different apps with same package name.
Current BGMI package name is com.pubg.imobile. So you can easily notice the PUBG and mobile word in this name. By the way if Krafton decide to make BGMI complitly different from PUBG Mobile, then they need to change the package name. It means a fresh version of the game. But doing this process they will also lost 50 million downloads on Play Store.
Because according to developer help center, Google doesn’t allow to change package name of the app available on Play Store.
Royale Pass are well known among PUBG Mobile and BGMI players. But there also all RP rewards same for both games. On the other hand, Patch update system also follow same 2 month interval to release new patch update. Suppose PUBG Mobile release a update – PUBG Mobile 2.1 update. Then Krafton also release same update with same title BGMI 2.1 update.
