BGMI is a popular battle royale game in India after PUBG Mobile. Krafton released the Battlegrounds Mobile India in July, 2021. But now after 1 year of the release, there is a sad news comes for BGMI players. On July 28, in the evening time in India, Google Play users are unable to find BGMI game in play store. But why? Is BGMI banned in India like PUBG Mobile and Garena Free Fire?

Why BGMI Removed from Google Play and App Store in India?
Under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Indian government outlawed PUBG Mobile and a number of Chinese applications in 2022. According to a report by IANS, BGMI has been prohibited in India using the same laws.
After it was discovered that BGMI shared data with Chinese servers, it received criticism. The game’s creator, Krafton, has stated that it was aware of the problem and was trying to fix it.
Now if you are searching BGMI, Battlegrounds Mobile India in Play Store then there are you can see only New State Mobile. After BGMI got removed from Google Play, many youtubers and influencers react in this situation. They just wants to know that what’s happened with BGMI. Someone saying that this is just a glitch of play store because BGMI still available on App store till 8:30 PM, but now BGMI also removed from App Store. Which means BGMI banned in India.
I don’t want to disappoint you if you are a BGMI lover, if you go into past in last February month 2022, then same incedent with Free Fire when government banned in India. First Free Fire removed from Play Store and then after also removed from App Store also.

Also you check a tweet by Abhijeet Andhare. He also react on BGMI removal from play store and write “Banning the game is not a solution” at the end of that tweet.
During writing this article i am not able to find in play store but when i open BGMI from official BGMI website using direct link, then i can easily access the BGMI in play store.
When BGMI return in Play Store?
If you will unable to find BGMI in App store also then this will confirm that BGMI banned in India. Because this types glitches is not possible with different platforms. So, if BGMI removed from play store then you will not able to play the game. Because BGMI only made for India. Like tik tok app, you will also got server error after 2 to 3 days later when opening BGMI. Because there are no any alternate version of BGMI like Free Fire MAX.
For now all BGMI players can wait for official Krafton notice regarding this removal from play store. I will share an update if any notices post by Krafton official.
